Should marijuana be legalized for medical use?

Comment: Absolutely! I am a 53 year old Christian Grandmother. I have been disabled for years. I have degenerative disc, bone and joint disease, fibromyalgia along with other problems. I have smoked marijuana for years. What a shame I have to take the risk I take just to find relief. I also have witnessed for years what marijuana can do for bipolar patients. I could go on, but I can't sit at the computer that long because of pain. What amazes me; man's law says we can't smoke marijuana but yet allows one to murder an innocent baby by aborting it. Comment: I am A chronic Pain Patient and it helps me with my pain management. It is a natural muscle relaxer as well it also help's my stomach. I am on a lot of medication and I suffer from many side effects as a result. The Marijuana calms my stomachand also helps me fight the chronic depression as well. If it was lagalized it would also severly limit the illegal import business that our country spends untold billions of dollars trying to stop. Plus the Industrial uses are almost limitless. For every five acres of tree's that is cut down to make paper can be done with one acre of industrial hemp that will grow back the next year. It would help the Tobbaco farmeres of KY. who need a new product to raise. It woould greatly help the state of kentucky. Besides during WWII it was the grown statewide in great abundance to help the War effort. So, Why is it Illegal when there are so many uses for this plant after all in the Bible it say "Ye' shall partake of all herb bearing seed". enuff said from London,KY by Jimmy
Comment: i am in severe pain with my back trouble and the only thing that helps me is marijuana. i will not go back to a doctor to get help because i know all they will do is prescribe me pain killers and i do not want to be addicted to that. i have seen too many lives ruined because of a narcotic addiction. from richmond,ky by tara
